The Freelander
The Freelander is a compact SUV made by British company Land Rover. Now in its 2nd generation the Freelander, introduced in 1997, became Europe's best selling four wheel drive model until 2002.Considered as a capable off-road vehicle, the first generation of the Freelander proved itself in competitions such as the Camel Trophy and Land Rover G4 Challenge.
The second generation of the Freelander debuted in 2006 and featured improved ground clearance and promises greater off-road capabilities. More recently, in spring 2009 the TD4_e becomes the first SUV to incorporate stop-start technology that improves fuel economy and reduces carbon emissions.
