Top Marks for Land Rover
March 30th, 2008 by Alex Jeffery
Drivers of 4×4s are fighting back by declaring their love for one of the biggest off-roaders on sale in the UK.
The latest Land Rover Discovery has swept practical super minis and hatchbacks aside to claim an amazing rating in Britain’s best car reliability and satisfaction survey.
The Midlands-built SUV claimed second place overall in the Driver Power 2008 poll of 32,000 motorists carried out by Auto Express. The Driver Power report ranks the 100 most popular cars in 10 categories, including reliability, practicality, build quality, running costs and performance.
“This is an amazing result,” said Driver Power report editor, Chris Thorp. “Drivers placed the old Discovery last for reliability and performance. The new car is a testament to the huge improvements made to the Discovery by Land Rover’s committed workforce here in the UK.”
