Stickers to help Caravanners in Emergency Situations
May 29th, 2009 by Alex Jeffery
Users of static and touring caravans at caravan parks are to benefit from a police sticker initiative to assist in ‘life or death’ emergency circumstances.
The scheme has been put in place as thousands of people visiting caravan parks each year, unsurprisingly, will not know the name of their site, let alone the number of their caravan and where it is situated.
Should an emergency situation arise, holidaymakers will be required to provide this information to the emergency services. Experience has shown that many cannot, in some cases leading to valuable time being wasted as emergency services struggle to find the caller’s location.
In a bid to provide a slicker service, an A5-sized sticker has been created to be placed in all caravans across the area, reminding people of their caravan park address and number and also offering advice on what to do should an emergency arise.
If your taking your caravan on holiday make sure you get a caravan insurance quote by giving the team at Sureterm Direct a call on 0800 999 2030. They won’t charge you for the phone call, but they will save you money on your caravan insurance policy.
