According to their website the archive, which contains films dating as far back as the 1890’s, consists of approximately 550 films. The films are typically between 2 – 10 min in length and cover aspects of motoring history, including the beginning of mass production, world land speed record runs, car commercials, motor shows, new car launches, the evolution of car design, experimental cars, flying cars, famous drivers, stunt driving, unusual military machines and more.

The site also contains an abridged timeline of motoring history which primarily concentrates on developments in Europe and North America and covers the progressive introduction of motorised road transport from the end of the 17th Century onwards.
